DAY 1: NAIROBI TO SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International airport you will be picked up by our driver and depart for Samburu which is approximately 5- 6 hrs. Enjoy an en-route game drive to the lodge as you enter the Samburu national reserve. You will arrive to the lodge in time for lunch. Proceed to check in to the lodge and then have lunch.

 

In the afternoon after lunch you will embark on a game drive to the national reserve where you will spend the afternoon. Samburu national reserve is renowned for the abundance in rare northern specialist species such as the Grev’y Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa . You will return to the lodge at sunset for relaxation and evening entertainment.

DAY 2: SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE FULL DAY

 

You will embark on a morning game drive to the reserve where you will enjoy wildlife views. The mornings are usually the best time to spot animals when they are most active or feeding. After the morning game drive our driver and guide will be ready to take you back to the lodge in time for your morning breakfast.

 

You will have the rest of the morning to yourself and you can decide to spend it at leisure enjoying the lodge’s facilities such as WI-FI, swimming pool and many more.

 

Your lunch will be served at the lodge and then you will spend the rest of the afternoon at the park identifying different wildlife species that are found in the reserve. You will return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

 

On this day you will be spending the day on unlimited game drive in the reserve. You will embark on a morning game drive then return to the lodge in time for breakfast and then again you will depart for the national reserve with your packed lunch.

 

You shall visit the communities in the reserve where you will be entertained in the traditional dances and get a taste of their culture and interact with them. You will return in the evening to the lodge for overnight and relaxation.

DAY 4: SAMBURU TO NANYUKI

 

You will depart in the morning for your second destination to Nanyuki which is approximately 2 hrs drive. Prepare for check out and then proceed to take breakfast at the lodge then you leave with our driver. Arrive in time for lunch where you will first check in and then proceed to have your lunch at the lodge. The hotel is an exquisite place with tons of activities that you can undertake while there.

You will spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying the Mt. Kenya wildlife conservancy’s diverse wildlife. The conservancy boasts of different wildlife species which have been orphaned. Your return to the hotel will be at dusk.

DAY 5: NANYUKI TO ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK

 You will be departing for Aberdare which will take you approximately 2 hrs. Prepare in the morning for check-out and then leave for your next destination. You will get to the lodge in time for lunch after which you will proceed to check in and the in the late afternoon have an afternoon game drive.

 

Aberdare national park boasts of diverse wildlife species such as the African elephant,black rhino, leopard, hyena, olive baboon, black and white Columbus monkey, skyes, monkey, cape buffalo and birds. You will head back to your lodge in the evening.

DAY 6: ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK FULL DAY

 

You will have an early morning game drive to the Aberdare National park where you will be able to enjoy an array of wildlife species. You will head back to the lodge in time for breakfast and after which you can enjoy the mid-morning at leisure.

You will have lunch at the lodge and then embark on an afternoon game drive. The afternoon will be spent at the park enjoying the diverse array of animals and birds.

DAY 7: ABEREDARE NATIONAL PARK TO NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK

 

Wake up early in the morning and proceed to check out of the lodge and head for Nairobi. The journey will take approximately 3 hrs. You will arrive in time for lunch and after which you will embark on a game drive to the Nairobi national park.

The park is situated in the heart of Nairobi and has an array of wildlife species for the black rhinos OR you can opt for a picnic or safari walk.

DAY 8: NAIROBI TO MAASAI MARA

 

You will depart in the morning for mara as you will embark on a long drive approximately, 5hrs. You will enjoy an en-route game drive to the park. Upon arrival you will have lunch at the hotel and then proceed to have a late afternoon game drive to the park.

The mara has a lot of activities that you can enjoy while there such as balloon rides at an additional cost, game drives bush safaris and dinner and variety of wildlife species to enjoy including the great wildebeest migration. Return to the lodge in the evening for overnight.

DAY 9: MAASAI MARA NATIONAL PARK

 

 You will embark on an early morning game drive to the park for mornings are usually the best time to go for cat hunting. You will be able to experience different wildlife species including the big 5. Your driver will have your breakfast at the park as you great views of large herds of elephants.

The mid-morning will be spent at leisure and you can opt to utilize this time by spending it enjoying the lodge’s facilities. The afternoon will be another great chance for you to enjoy a game drive and if you happen to have missed the chance to spot the cats, you will be able to spot them.

DAY 10: MAASAI MARA TO NAIVASHA

 

You will depart for Naivasha in the morning for Naivasha which is approximately 3 hrs drive to L.Naivasha. You will arrive in time for lunch at the lodge after checking in, proceed to have lunch then depart for your afternoon game drive to Hell’s gate, crescent Island, L.Naivasha, Enashapai Maa museum.

 

Hell’s gate offers tourist the chance to go on bike rides, Enshapai Maa museum will top it for artifacts and historical paintings.

DAY 11: NAIVASHA TO NAKURU

 

You will have an early morning breakfast at the lodge and then prepare to check-out of the lodge. Your journey will take approximately 1 hrs time. You will arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. Proceed to check in then have lunch.

 

The early afternoon will be spent at leisure and in the late afternoon at the L.Nakuru national park. This park is especially renowned for wildlife species and is home to the endangered black and white rhino. The park also has bird species such as the flamingoes.

DAY 12: L.NAKURU TO L.BOGORIA

 

You will have breakfast at the lodge and then you will proceed to check-out. You will transfer to another lodge just in time for lunch. After checking in, proceed to have lunch and then embark on a late afternoon game drive to the park.

 

You can choose to go on a safari walk as you enjoy the beautiful sceneries that L.Bogoria has to offer e.g, hot springs and large numbers of flamingoes. Activities include: cycling, nature walks, boat trips and bird watching.

You will return to your lodge in the evening after a day well spent.

DAY 13: L.BOGORIA

 

After breakfast you will leave for your planned activities of the day. You can opt to for bird watching and spend the afternoon identifying bird features and the different species or go fishing. Both are enjoyable and require skills and tactics for you to do it. Return to your lodge in the evening for overnight and night entertainment.

DAY 14: DEPARTURE TO NAIROBI

 

On this day you will wake up early in the morning and prepare to depart for your return to Nairobi. Our driver and guide will be waiting to take you back as this marks the end of your safari to Kenya for the 14 days touring the great rift. After breakfast proceed to check out and head for Nairobi with drop off at the JKIA for your flight back home or your desired drop off point.
